Primary Purpose:
Substitute as classroom teacher or aide in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of campus Principal.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:
Some experience working with children
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support
- Provide instruction based on lesson plan/materials and classroom displays assigned by classroom teacher.
- Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments if instructed by classroom teacher.
- Maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Maintain records and prepare required reports as instructed by classroom teacher.
Student Management
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
- Inform teacher or campus Principal of special needs or problems of individual students.
Other
- Participate in required substitute training annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

None.

Copier, personal computer, and audiovisual equipment.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
